What's the best book out there to do this same thing, so when I'm out in the field, I can do a better job of IDing something?

These "keys" identification charts remind me of being back at school. I am not sure because my old age memory is failing me but I seem to remember "Browns Botony" was the definitive book of keys charts for almost all of the plants in the world. It didn't have pictures just descriptions and it was almost a course in it self just to learn all the definitions of the descriptions for the identifying features. If only the internet was available when I went to school.
