We'll give this thread one more day, because with all the activity on the boards here last week, I suspect it got lost in the shuffle.
Winners posted Tuesday morning!

John,
The genus to which POTW26 belongs includes several blue flowering species, but I haven't had much success yet with those...details tomorrow when I post the answer and the names of the many winners!:D

POTW26 is Yellow Fumitory, Corydalis lutea.
Congratulations to Justgardens, JWHolden, dan deutekom, HRLand, NC Lawnscapes, NCSULandscaper, and spiderlily for getting it right. :cigar:
Corydalis is a genus with several nice perennials. The only other one I've had success with is C. elata which has blue flowers and takes the dry shade found under Norway Maples.
Anyone else have some stories to share about Corydalis sp.???

Oh yeah...there was also a cultivar of C. flexuosa called 'Blue Panda' that was available around here for a while, but didn't take to our zone 4/5 Winters...anybody tried these other Corydalis species???
I should add that POTW26 really rocks:flex: in shady situations, blooming for a good FOUR MONTHS in southern 'Sconi, and nicely self-sowing to fill in the gaps between Hostas, Bugloss, Barrenwort, and other clump-forming, low-growing perennials...
So trash those browned out Ostrich Ferns and that rampaging Bishop's Weed and plant some Yellow Fumitory instead!
