I don't think there's a design I've done that doesn't have these beauties included (provided there's enough sun). Absolutely my favorite perennial!

I love the Cone flowers as well. I planted this small perennial garden a year ago and the Cone flowers took off! I went back for an after picture and I got blinded by the pink of the Rose of Sharon also. Also in the garden is Lavender and May Night salvia with a Buddleia.

one of the nes I miss greatly, they don't grow well here because they need freeze hours... If you drive about 40 miles west of Madison Wisconsin, during June-August there are entire fields coverd in white and purple come flowers. In the area of Cave of the Mounds, Mineral Point, Spring Green, Glamis and so fourth.

With all the beauty California has to offer, those fields are still one of the places I miss most.
