New Lawn

Hey all,
I have a flat field full of brush (mostly tall grass 5-6 ft). What's the best and most economical way of turning that into a lawn? I've had many suggestions from non-professionals, but would like to hear from you (the experts)

Try a simple but effective lawn renovation. Simply mow the area
low as possible. Then do a core-aeration. Apply starter fert. and seed. You might like the result. Repeat the process in the spring.
