Clover Lot

This past spring, I cleared a 100 x 150 area as a food plot planting Imperial clover and alfalfa. Due to our extremely hot and dry summer, not much of it took and I now have a plot that's pretty much covered with crabgrass.

I plan to reseed next spring, my question is whether there's a way to control the crabgrass yet still have the clover and alfalfa germinate?

Could spray crabgrass post-emergently with acclaim.

or... when does Clover germinate? If it germinates early enough -- a pre-emergent could be applied after clover has been growing for a few weeks.

I'll have to look into that. I don't have spray equipment so my battle plan would be pre-emergent. I was wondering if there might be one that is specific to crabgrass.
