Hello again. Thought you might like another challenge. :) These pictures aren't clear, but I am not a great photographer. The stems are not very visible. You can see the bamboo stakes and the wire cage. Any color is either a flag or a digging implement. The mint green is part of a tomato protector. I ordered these seeds and they are supposed to produce tomatoes - they were called "Potato Top Tomatoes", but they look like berries. I emailed the man at the Pittsburgh Post Gazette (Doug Oster, The Backyard Gardener) who was giving these away, but haven't received a reply. Maybe one of you experts can help me figure out what this is and if the berries are edible. The plant grew to 3-4 ft. tall. The web page from which I ordered these said: "Potato Top produces large ... pink ... tomatoes... It's a late variety, so grow something else for your early harvest." As you can see, the fruit looks nothing like that. The dark purple seems to be ripe and has developed seeds (which, by the way, DO look like tomato seeds. I got them late, so maybe that had to do something with their "turnout". Does anyone know what they are and if they are poisonous if ingested? THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP ! Sorry, I had to edit the picture to upload it 'til it's really bad. more pictures: http://www.geocities.com/pgreen18/PotatoTopTomato.html?1129456674468
