I am just a homeowner now. Like to do all the hardscape works myself. So far I finish
1. my front yard three layers flower beds,
2. house side walk deck with a bench and 9' wisteria arbor
3. my back yard bean, long squash and grape arbor
all of them made by treated wood mainly. Only some of walk way and connection parts made by concrete. Results of these concrete parts are very unprofessional.

One of my friend suggest me replace those parts with paved blocks using some customized concrete molding patterns.
Check those concrete molding patterns on ebay, each of them cost ~20$. Just wondering, if you have enough time and can save 1/2 price, how many people want do this by themself.:p
one of thousand may be.

WAAAAAY back in the day, I put together a walk and patio using those concrete forms at my house. Took a very long time to do but turned out about as well as a DIY project can (in other words: looked like a homeowner did it).

They make a decent concrete project (especially if you add color to the crete), but I'd tend to lean more towards pavers. They cost more but are fairly easy to install (provided you follow advice found here -- search paver installation).

Don't know if that helps...

thank you trees for your replying. I am new here. Looks like I made a mistake to post a wrong post in a wrong forum (hardscape). Hope administrators don't kick me out because of this. :)
Install professional is a dream for all the homeowners, but it is not easy. Make those DIYs take me more than a week. Over 50 bags 60-80lb concrete mix almost break my back. Well, may be the only thing I can comfort myself is no profesional bigshot want do those tiny tiny projects. ;-)
