I want to thank those of you who were able to attend the special GTX/COMPASS Training in Wilmington, Delaware.
I know for some it may have been a short notice as well as a bad date or bad location, although 3 people did fly in, and one drove 9 nine hours.
To better prepare for the next event please let me know the following:
1.) How much notice do you need?
2.) How far are you willing to travel?
3.) What major city are you willing to travel to?
4.) What months are you available for another special offer?
I will compile this data and let you know what we can do to set up another training!

Rob,
I would have been interested in going but I had 4 tix to a SU b ball game for a couple of months prior to your announcement.
1.For me, I don't need much notice as long as as I have nothing else planned. More than a month in advance would be better.
2. 4 to 5 hours from CT. I would have been willing to travel to Delaware.
4. Oct-Jan so I have plenty of time to implement what I learn prior to the spring rush. I've learned in the past that it's not that practical for me to participate in seminars or workshops after the middle of Feb.

Thanks for the feedback. This is the only way we can better prepare to help you guys and continue offering the great discounts to GTX Members!

I wouldn't mind a 4-5 hr drive either and would consider flying in. Jan. or Feb. would probably be best for me but I'm sure I can manage to get there whatever time of year with enough notice. After reading the comments I regret not making the first one.

HRLand, how far is it to Wilmington for you? We usually do this on a Friday and Saturday!

I'd say a couple months would be plenty of notice. Also, what airport would one fly into, to reach Wilmington?

Philadelphia is the best one to fly into usually. Anythin less than a 6 hour drive is usually better to drive and usually cheaper.
We do have trainings throughout the spring and summer as well. You can always implement parts of the system at anytime of the year, but you can never implement it all overnight!

Approx. $150 for me to fly round trip from Boston To Phili. Not bad at all.

That is cheap! I know when I have to drive there from central NY its a 5.5 hour drive and the fuel both ways runs me about $150 total!

Spiderlilly would really benefit from attending the next one, while I tend to the kids. Wilmington works great for us, flying into BWI, and staying at my Mom's.
The season in Wisconsin doesn't start rocking for another month, so for us at least there is still some time. After April, forget it.

Wilmington is less than 3 hrs from me. A fri. & sat. I could probably work in any time of the year. If the weather's good I'll take the fatboy down.

There ya go. That would be a nice ride. I should stop by your place on the next trip down. Youre not far off 476 are you?

I'm not familiar with 476. Is there another name for it?

One of our trainers Dale Wiley is in Oregon. We may be able to do something out that way. We need to pull enough people together to set up a training. I will speak with Dale!
Id consider going to another one. I know this may be asking alot, but how about in Columbus ohio... the GIE is going to be here this fall. Any chance to do a training prior to or overlapping the GIE?

How about Chi-town?

San Diego, the temps never drop below 45, nor ever rise above 85.
For kiddlings, you have Sea World, Legoland, and Dizney all within striking range, there are awesome eateries, we have the USS Midway floating museum, and all kinds of cool stuff.

Been there done that and like to do it again. San Diego would be a good choice.

1.) Atleast 1 month -- to get good flight deals. Makes #2 less important.
2.) When you live in KS -- you are in the middle of everything -- which means you are close to nothing -- So I'd be flying probably anywhere I went. Although KS is a good spot to have it -- cheapest average flights for nay airport in country.
3.) Again -- not a deciding factor for me as much as timing.
4.) June - -July would be best for me. or December - January

It all depends, if it's in the midwest I'll send my new Office Manager\Admin Assistant (sounds pretty impressive, huh?) but if it's in San Diego then I would have to be the one to attend. :D It would probably even be a family vacation if it was there if I could justify the write-off. :woot:
Keep me updated Rob. Somewhere's along the line I would like her to attend. Not sure exactly when because I'd like to have some on-site QX training for her as well, but if it is convenient, I'd make it work.

I'd like at least a month notice. Six weeks would be better.
I'd be willing to travel to Atlanta, Chicago, St. Louis... really anywhere in the midwest or south. Also, I'd be happy to come to Wilmington. Being in Memphis, I doubt you'd do one anywhere that would be an easy drive (Atlanta, Louisville, St. Louis are all within 6 hours, though).
Hate that I couldn't make the last one, but it just got too close, had a hard time finding a decent rate on a flight, then the daffodils started blooming... you know what that means.
January or July/August would be best, but October or February would work, too.

We can do the San Diego thing any time we can put it together. I don't mind going there, I get to see at least one of my boys when I am there.
I think I will be there next weekend to see Ryan perform with the Marine Corps Silent Drill Team.
This is good information we are getting on this, as we want to sit some things fairly solid for the future.
The majority of the attendance seems to be from the East Coast and Midwest.
St Louis is a great hub from anywhere, as is Chicago. Those are all jump off points for the mid and deep south, upper midwest and the plains states.

Washington D.C. would also be a great spot. Perhaps Fairfax, or one of the outlying cities. All a metro hop away from Dulles International.:D

Chicago is good too. Beef combo at Johnnies, and Pizza at
Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinders on Llincoln. After class, the Art Institute and Buckingham Fountain. Beer at Butch McGuires....

Did someone say Fairfax?? That's where I live. I'd be happy to help with the arrangements!

The DC area would be a great place for one...1.5 hr drive to the U.S. cap and the surrounding areas. Metro is a great way to get around.

DC would be great for me too.

St. Louis or Indy. Maybe Chicago if I'm in a good mood.

What about Minneapolis?
Airport is close to many things, and not far from downtown.
And it's close to me!

Anything west of the MS would be great!

I have done them in Denver before, that is fairly central for the West and Plains states...
