I charge by the hour. I've only done a few of these jobs so far and am experimenting with an hourly rate. I would definitely like to know what kind of hourly rate others are charging for pruning. When I tell the client my rate, I try to give an estimate of the amount of time it will take (I'll give a range from least to most amount of time it will take)

Depends a lot on how mature the crepe is. You can usually estimate how long it is going to take by how thick the branches are and how much you're going to have to clean up when done. On average, I charge somewhere around $50-$75 per crepe myrtle for pruning and clean-up.

Just our $per-man-hour for extras, unless it's something I have to work into a seasonal contract, but even then it's still based on the same hourly rate.
