I am putting together ideas for a seminar talk (to be done by someone else) and this is the topic I am working on. Please suggest challenging places and ways to use pavers that would make good questions to have the speaker address. A couple that I am thinking about concern doing pool decks, pool coping and the anchors for the covers. What else?
I have seen this question more than once:
How to go about putting pavers over an existing concrete slab pool deck?

What about -
I want to put a paver patio in an area that is lower than the surrounding land - how do I keep water from standing/pooling there?

Or one I've seen talked about in places like this:
We're putting in a circular driveway in pavers - how to we get the bond lines to match when we get around the drive and meet the pavers we first laid?

Who's going to be hosting the seminar?

This will be one topic for a one-hour talk at the summer Field Day sponsored by PGMS and NVNLA. http://www.groundtradesxchange.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=378
We run four concurrent tracks of topics for the day. Lots of things to choose from.
Thanks for the ideas so far. Keep them coming. Another one that I thought of is the veneering of existing concrete steps with pavers.

I don't know if this would count, as it's more to do with material handling, but are there efficient ways to get materials to a waterfront site that has a very steep slope leading to the site?

For us in the frigid north with enough lead time, bring all the material on to the site during the winter over the ice. You need the space to store it (where it won't sink in spring) I also did a job where we excavated and built a road down to the site and just built and filled our way back up. Another good question is how to get bond lines to match up when bringing pavers around a swimming pool or a building.
