I have a client that has an existing splitfaced limestone wall - it all used to be drylaid, but poor installation led to failure of a portion. He reinstalled that portion with mortar and it seems to be holding up (for the last 10 years). He now wants the rest torn down and redone with mortar. I've already talked with him about footings, so that's not an issue. However, I'm thinking that since all the weep holes will be taken out with this method, besides the drain tile at the base of the wall, should I also be putting in other weep holes throughout the wall?
I'm thinking of something like short pieces of 1/2" conduit coming from behind the wall and daylighting flush with the face.
We'd of course do our usual 1' of clear stone behind the wall.
The wall is about 100' long, starts at about 4' in height and tapers down to nothing.
