How does one correctly pronounce Astilbe 'Fanal'? I have the Astilbe part down fine ( :) ), just wondering about 'Fanal'

If I had to guess Fah' nal - another option.

Beech - Fagus - got me to thinking about that one. But if that's a variety name, it may be out of the Latin league.

A few names are Greek - I recall that Bengrass is Cynadon dactylon and means "finger-like" and "dogtooth"
