Since this is the first flowering, this titan arum attained the modest height of 56 inches.

Although I was in DC today, I did not venture to the Botanic Garden to view it. I was busy working and enjoying the Field Day at American University. We had a good turn out and lots of good speakers.

Reminds me of the other day when I was taking a walk with three of my children and they were picking weeds and grasses smelling them over and over.....My three year old walks up to me while he turns around and bends over say's "Hey Dad! Smell this!".
