Incorporating old driveway planters?

My wife and I last year paved and rerouted our driveway. It used to be a horseshoe shaped drive that circled around the back of the house with 2 entrances from the street. Now its 1 entrance off the street and rerouted to a side street. Last Spring, I planted grass in the driveway we wanted to fill in, and thats worked nice, now we have an old brick plant there that seems out of place because of the missing drive. Its about 12 inches high, by 3 foot wide, by 4 foot long. I would like to incorporate into the landscaping without totally removing. (because my Grandfather made it by hand many years ago. I am looking for any ideas. It has a crape-myrtyle tree aprox 5 feet away from it parallel to the street. Many thanks,.

I think it must be an "old brick plantER". Unless he actually has a brick factory in his yard.

OOps, my spelling isn't that accurate sometimes. Thanks for the proofread, the bricks are old multipurpose red bricks.

I was thinking it was either that, or someone mortared brick together in the shape of a plant. Couldn't imagine why that would be worth saving. :)

As for your quandry, dirtman - that's a 100% aesthetic call, something that can't be determined by words on a page. If you're wondering how to save it, you may need a skidsteer to lift it in one piece, or something even bigger depending on the weight. But placement is in the eye of the beholder.

Tough call without seeing the property. Any way to design something around it without having to move the "brick plant"?
Post a pic if you can, I'm sure someone will have an idea or 2.

can't get photo to upload, file too big. Anyway, I was thinking of some type of some climbing, sun-loving cover vine or plants? Any ideas?
