I see Lacebark Pines (Pinus bungeana) spec'd for an urban condo job that I am bidding. I've never had to plant or care for these before so I'm wondering what to expect from them in terms of problems and performance. They seem to be much more expensive than more common pines.

Lanelle,
I've never planted a lacebark but remember one at the arboretum I interned at while in school. Nothing special as far as care went but what gorgeous bark.
I suspect its one of those trees that can get a higher price even though there's nothing special to growing it, such as Bloodgood Maples. Lucky you, you get to find some!
