I am working on a bid for a formal fountain. It will be constructed using concrete with no liner. I am clear on how to build such a thing but one item is bugging me.

I need to run electric into the fountain. I will run a pipe up thru the concrete to feed the electric line. My question is what is the best way to seal around the electrical line so water will not leak down the pipe? I have done a couple of these in the past and i have sealed it with plumbers goop. It seems to work but there must be a better (more professional) method.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Most I've seen have a rubber plug with a hole in it that is split. You slide the plug over the wire and press it into the conduit, the rubber compresses and seals everything as a unit.

thanks. I have seen these before. I guess an electrical supplier would carry them?
