Hi guys, hope your cold months are going well. Anyone ever use a 60" calais stainess steel weir for a pondless waterfall app? I'm thinking about using the calais 70" plastic reservoir as the catch basin with an aquasurge 7000 to move the water. Rise is no more than 3 feet and the run will be about 6 feet.

Raj,
No I have never used one before. Is there a reason you want to use a stainless weir? I'm just picturing in my head this is going to be an unnecessarily expensive water feature.
Is it cheaper than plastic, doesn't warp?
Why not use rubber membrane for your basin?

There are a few versions on this equipment supplier's site. Waterfall Weirs, Savio, Atlantic Water Gardens from Ponds Online Canada .com (http://www.pondsonlinecanada.com/filter6.htm)
I don't have a problem paying a premium price for a premium product, and figured the steel fab would result in a cleaner water sheet. What do you think?
I'm leaning towards a hard basin because it will be installed in the middle of a stone patio, and I don't want the hollow created by a flex liner to cause caving of the paver sub-base. That's the theory... and a cast in place basin would likely crack given our climate.
