I guess I would have to ask what the labor costs are in that area?
$18 per cut would not fit for us.
I just had a quick look at the sites and bookmarked them for a closer look later.
What I really liked was the fact that it seemed like there would be no billing hassles.

Re: e-mowing - I don't think, based on what I know about you, that you should consider them a competitor. If their web site is indicative of their biz, you are chasing after a different market.
As for the second, again maybe a different market, but they have a nice site and present themselves well on the site. They look like nice, respectable folks that could live down the block from me. Based on the website I'd be inclined to give them a call.
From a biz owner perspective, I question how they can charge the same price for any lawn. That part doesn't seem to sit right with me. But that's me the biz owner. Me the customer would be interested enough to call.
That's what me is telling me, anyway.

Even if I had an entire block of 15 customers where we mow I would agonize over charging that low.
I would rather net $60k off of $200k any day than net $60k off of $600k or more! (that's an example and no personal inference is implied as to our gross or net)

Hey, I'm with you - given the choice, I'd take high margins over low ones any day. :) I was just giving you my thoughts, as somewhat of an outsider.
Were you looking for more input about price?

Just input on the entire thing....
I guess that it would even catch my attention if I was a consumer of Lawn Care Services..
It's got to be rough to start up something like that and ride it out untill you do have the volume to start pocketing some of the $ personally???

Maybe. If they're smart, they know what kind of volume they need to get into the black using that pricing, and are focused on getting that volume.
If they picked that number on 'feel', they'll have a harder time, I'd imagine, because they won't know when, or if, they'll ever see $1 from it. Hard to keep walking down a tunnel when the light never seems to get any brighter.
I do like their tag line.

Johny what's up..........
I e-mail Justlawns back n forth.....
I tried to convince him to raise evryone up at least $3-4.
But he claims to be doing great and making good money.
He does have many houses on 1 street, and most take on an avg. 10 min. each.
I am surprised you didn't see him on the group e-mail list when I send out jokes.
